Music enthusiasts in Adelaide are in for a treat as The Connect Sessions are coming to town. The event, which is free of charge, provides a unique opportunity to learn from local industry professionals through a panel discussion and speed-networking session. This is a great chance for individuals to ask questions about publishing, management, labels, synch and digital marketing. Additionally, APRA state member reps will be on hand to answer any questions about APRA.
The panel session, which will be moderated by Jessi Tilbrook of PAK Music, will focus on ‘Building a Team’. This practical discussion will cover the process, timing and importance of building an artist team. The industry speed-networking sessions provide an opportunity to ask questions to some of Australia’s best and brightest professionals who work across all areas of the music industry. These sessions will be conducted in small groups, rather than one-on-one, and will provide a great opportunity to network with others in the industry.
The Connect Sessions 2023 will take place on Saturday 4th February at The Jade, 142-160 Flinders St, Adelaide, from 11:15 am to 4 pm. Some of the panelists include Keeskea, the talented artist, Sianne van Abkoude, manager of Extended Family, Tom Majerczak of Hobbledehoy Records, and Joel Byrne of Carclew. Other speed networkers include Alana Jagt of APRA AMCOS, Sam Szabo of PAK Music, David Turrell of FAT TRAX Studio, Elizabeth Reid of Music Development Office and Gareth Lewis and Susan Evans of Music SA.
